About the Profession

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession focused on improving movement, reducing pain, and helping people stay as strong, mobile, and independent as possible. It can support recovery, function, balance, mobility, and confidence in everyday life.

Our community physiotherapists work with you to help you reach your personal goals and maintain them. This may include standing and walking more safely, moving around your home or community, improving strength and function, and managing daily activities such as dressing, showering, cleaning, getting out and about, and enjoying the things you love.

Conditions We Treat

What conditions do Physiotherapists help with?

Any illness, disease or condition that impairs your ability to move or complete functional tasks in everyday life — we can help with:

  • Mobility, movement and falls prevention
  • Neurological and respiratory rehabilitation
  • Chronic pain management
  • Functional skill building
  • Paediatric physiotherapy
  • Assistive technology, mobility aids and equipment
  • Physical capacity assessments

Access & Funding

How do I get Physiotherapy?

There are many ways to access Physiotherapy — you don't always need a GP referral. If you'd like to know more about your specific situation, get in touch with us today.

  • NDIS

NDIS Participants who are plan or self-managed can contact us directly or ask their NDIS plan manager to send us a referral.

  • Support at Home (My Aged Care)

Older adults may be able to access physiotherapy through My Aged Care and the Support at Home program following assessment and approval. If you already have a home care package / Support at Home funding, you can request to see us at anytime via your home care provider.

  • Medicare

Some clients may be eligible for physiotherapy through a GP management plan, with a referral arranged by their doctor. As our services are community-based, there will be a gap to cover the session and travel included.

  • Private Health

You can book privately with us directly, with no GP referral required in most cases.

  • Other Funding

Workcover, DVA and other funding options are welcome at Fuller Life Australia following confirmation from our team.

Funding & Support

National Disability Insurance Scheme

Fuller Life Australia supports NDIS participants with mobile, community-based allied health services designed around their goals, functional capacity, and everyday life. We work closely with participants and their support networks to provide practical, person-centred therapy that builds independence, supports participation, and helps make daily life safer, easier, and more meaningful at home and in the community.

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government program that provides funding to eligible people with disability for reasonable and necessary supports related to their disability. Its purpose is to help people build capacity, improve independence, participate in everyday life, and work towards their personal goals.

Who can get funding?

  • are aged 0 to 64 years when you apply
  • live in Australia and meet the NDIS residency requirements
  • have a disability caused by a permanent impairment that significantly affects your ability to take part in everyday activities
  • or meet the early intervention requirements, where supports are likely to reduce your future need for support or improve long-term outcomes
  • can provide the required identity and supporting evidence as part of the application process

How Fuller Life helps

  • goal-focused assessment and therapy linked to participant needs and NDIS goals
  • community-based physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and psychology supports
  • building functional capacity and independence in everyday life
  • improving mobility, strength, safety, confidence, and community participation
  • support with daily routines, functional tasks, and accessing the community
  • tailored strategies based on the participant's home environment and support needs
  • collaboration with families, carers, support coordinators, plan managers, and other providers
  • clear reporting and communication to support ongoing therapy and plan outcomes
  • flexible services for self-managed and plan-managed participants
