Telehealth, or Physiotherapy delivered to you via Video Link, is a more than ever desired and needed method of addressing your need for Physio without the hassle or concern over attending a clinic. Telehealth is a national and international solution for healthcare professionals to assess, treat, monitor and manage their patient's health.
Fuller Life uses Physiapp, an easy to use Video Link program. You can download the app prior to booking your appointment or during the steps shown above. Once you have access to Physiapp, you will be able to see your exercise prescription, advice and other modalities put in place by your physio, to help manage your health from a distance. You can download Physiapp on your android or Apple phone, iPad or laptop just as long as you have an in-built camera.
As we are all aware, the recent quarantines and social isolation the government has had to implement due to COVID-19, has left many people unable to access healthcare in person. Telehealth bridges the gap and prevents COVID-19 from disrupting you in obtaining your Physio.

One of the most useful aspects of Telehealth via the use of Video Link is that we are able to carry out a thorough verbal assessment. This gives us the opportunity to understand more about you, your past and current health status, your injury or problem, and how it impacts you and your life.
Although Physio would often involve a 'hand-on' approach to this part of the assessment process, we are able to request that you carry out certain movements, tasks or positions in order to observe the effects and analyze your situation further. This information in combination with your Subjective Assessment gives us a greater understanding of what's going on - often allowing us to diagnose the issue in many cases. It's relevant to note that in this part of the assessment, you may need a safe space around your phone/iPad, computer in order to complete specific movements.
At Fuller Life, we call this 'DEEP'. It's our way of taking the information gained, summarizing it and delivering a clear, concise and productive explanation of the result. Then, our focus is on educating you on the result and providing practical and relevant strategies on how to begin moving forwards with your rehabilitation. Lastly, we will plan our pathway of care which gives you peace of mind on how your Physio will move forward.
Our professionals will be able to provide you with live video demonstrations of any and all exercises you may need to complete, as part of your Physio program. These videos will also form your main plan that you keep, so you can refer to them every time you carry them out. We will also use 'outcome measures', which may require you to perform certain maneuvers or tasks so that we can gauge your progress. In addition to exercises, we may send you advice, education and guidance on using other treatment modalities.
Our professional and committed team will ensure your journey is as hassle-free, simple and easy to follow. Your plan will dictate the number of follow-up appointments you may need to attend. These are simply accessed in the same way and will require you to book the 'Follow Up' appointment as you did your initial appointment.
1. Can I claim through medicare or my private insurance?
A - Due to the COVID-19 National response from the government, there is continuing discussion and planning around providing rebates for Telehealth Physiotherapy, however, nothing is confirmed at this time. We advice keeping up to date with your insurers and Medicare. We at Fuller Life will inform you of any known changes the government implement with this.
2. Do I have to use Physiapp? If so, How do I get it?
